BKC Freestyle Competition Fleets

Open Fleet

- No age restrictions

- All round freestyle. Judged on overall impression

- Winner is the British Freestyle Champion (Male & Female)

- Minimum of 15mph windspeed

- If wind is strong enough we may adjust the scoring criteria to reward "big air" moves in preference to "freestyle".

Amateur Fleet

Amateur

- 16+ *

- All-round freestyle. No Handle-passes. Judged on overall impression. Aimed at non-sponsored riders. Anyone wanting to improve their riding through the motivation of competition.

- Typical tricks are back roll, front roll, unhooked raley, board off etc 

- Minimum of 15mph windspeed

Junior Fleet

- 15 and under*

- All-round freestyle. Judged on overall impression

- Minimum of 12 mph windspeed

* For age categories we will use age on 1st October

Foil Freestyle

Foil Freestyle

- All entrants for the main freestyle event are eligible to enter the foil freestyle competition.

- Format will be an expression session judged on the best trick during that session.

- Enough wind for a minimum of 3 proficient riders to get moving on a foil.
